Gomoku: Five Stones in a Row is a strategic board game intended for two participants. On a square board measuring 19×19 (in the classic version) or 15×15 (in the contemporary sports version) points, players take turns positioning stones of two distinct colors. The victor is the one who first creates an unbroken line of five stones of their color either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. It offers numerous variations, each differing in specific aspects of the rules. The game is thought to have originated in China over two millennia ago. Presently, the game enjoys global recognition; competitive events are conducted based on it.
