A Nordic tactical board game that gained fame during the Medieval period. Within Scandinavian culture, it was akin to chess. The game features various adaptations that vary in:
- board dimensions: 7, 9, 11, 13
- winning criteria: position the king at the edge or corner of the board.
- king encirclement criteria: from two or four directions.
- the quantity of offensive (black) and defensive (white) pieces.
You can engage in the game using artificial intelligence, with another individual on a single device, or against an adversary online in multiplayer mode. The offensive black pieces initiate the moves. Following that, players alternately take their turns. All pieces shift vertically or horizontally to any number of squares.
